She waited for months and she waited for years
She kept trying to  dispel the ever-growing fears
That maybe they were right, maybe they didn't belong
But she didn't want to believe it so she told herself they were wrong.

He wanted so badly to tell her the truth
He thought she deserved just that much.
But the skies rained down like poisonous touch
And she melted away from his grasp.
